CANNING IS FUN
I have been on a kick canning for the last two weeks. Peaches, pears, peach and pear apple jam, salsa and chunky applesauce. It's been a lot of fun and I've purchased a lot of jars off of craigslist.com and even bought a water bath canner. It's such a fun process. Next I want to can meaty, veggie speghetti sauce and soups. I'm excited to have canned goods to go into my nice big new air conditioned pantry. It will be fun.

Waiting to Close
So the house only appraised for $130,00 and all the repairs costs plus purchase price come out to be $143,000. So we are asking them to lower the price again. We are praying hard, and they may since we should them that the AC which is a $4k expense is not working properly. Hopefully we hear back from them Monday or Tuesday so we can start planning. Have a great weekend!

WE BOUGHT THE HOUSE!
We bought the house for $106,000. We are spending $32,000 on repairs and it will be new. We are really excited. We have our contractor hired, a great guy from our ward. The house has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 2255 square feet.
Joseph starts preschool next month and swimming lessons again.
After watching Julie and Julia I have been in a canning mood. I canned 60 lbs of peaches and made peach jam this week. Next week it's pears and apple pear jam and after that it's applesause.
Tomorrow I'm going to goodwill on their 1/2 off sale and buying out all their canning jars. Salsa and speghetti sauce next. I can't wait. I'm so addicted to canning now. I'll have so much fun stuff to put in my pantry when I move in in Oct.

House Purchase
Here's the latest on the house purchase. The bank said they would accept our offer but we couldn't use the 203K loan to fix up the place, we have to have this loan and that they would pay $5,000 towards roof repairs. Now they are saying that we can use the 203K loan but they won't pay the $5,000 to repair the roof. So now we are asking them to reduce the price by $5,000 or pay us $5,000 for the roof. We should hear back Monday or Tuesday if they accept our terms. They did get a cash offer last weekend but went with our offer. Now we just have to pray they don't get any other offers over the weekend.

Ecuador

This was our bed and breakfast bathroom. An interior decorator's dream :)

Two of Cameran's mission companions.

The Guayaquil beach was beautiful and warm.
We were there for Valentine's day. You can buy a dozen roses for a $1. Go Cameran
Here is the Tupe Family that Cameran taught on his mission. It was a miracle that we found them, seeing that a lot had changed in 8 years. We walked a lot of hills and searched many streets. They were surprized beyond measure to see Cameran.
Cameran got donations for this book. We gave it to some prominent Universities in Quito. They were all very grateful and hopefully it will change some lives of the people there. "Think and Grow Rich and As a Man Thinketh." (English Translation)
In Feb. we went to Ecuador. It was a beautiful trip. Cameran found many people he had taught and known on his mission. It was fun to practice our Spanish. We went to the beach, the temple and ate some good food. Our last day in Ecuador was really wet. It was quite a shock to our skin to come back to dry Arizona.
